West Austin's (P3)
Preschool PTSD Program

Teacher training program.  Our qualified professionals will train classroom teachers how to screen and identify childhood PTSD.  Sessions are conducted which will allow for instructional and question answer components.

Mental health referral program.   Anyone that contacts P3 in regards to PTSD screening can have a professional notify the family if they are eligible for the program.  Qualifications include:

Anyone that is experiencing any form of anxiety, depression and/or trauma. Specifically, children that have

  1. Witnessed an act of violence,
  2. Been separated from one or both parents due to incarceration,
  3. Been separated from one or both parents due to the death of the parent(s),
  4. Experienced sexual physical/abuse before age five are accepted into the program at no cost.


Participants will be referred to highly qualified professional counselors from:

  • Lighthouse Pediatric Psychology
  • Bobby E. Wright Comprehensive Behavioral Health Center, Inc.


Wrap Around Services.
These services address family issues in order to provide a stable environment for the recovery of the child and an environment from repeated new trauma. Families may be in need of assistance with housing, how to apply for medical or food stamp benefits and/or skills workshops – interview training, resume building.

Community Outreach Program. P3 has partnered with neighboring organizations that have agreed to host monthly seminars that will educate the community.  This list consists of:
